Reaching and learning his trade in such diverse places and spaces as Scotland, California, London, Australia, NYC, Israel and Hawaii, A La Fu has performed, recorded and released material on the solo tip as well as with friends and artists worldwide since 1996. Early on A La Fu was inspired by touring, supporting and sharing the stage with the likes of Gil Scott Heron, De La Soul, Afrika Bambatta and Blackalicious which gave him the grounding and experience required to develop into one of the most assured and accomplished DJs we have had the pleasure of working with.

Set us as a sister label to their fantastic Scotch Bonnet Records, it is their outlet for the deeper, darker, bassier side of their music. A La Fu ‘Themes’ Box Set - Released 6th July
30th June, 2009The elusive noise technician A La Fu delivers his long awaited solo work ‘Themes’, a limited edition box set that is also the first release from his newly formed VaVa Records. In both vinyl (3 x 7”s) and CD format, each package include the shockingly exquisite artwork created by Rough and like the music, the exclusive prints of the three covers come separate but when you put them together they make up one cohesive picture, in this case ready to frame and hang up onto your wall if desired.
‘Themes’ itself is a trip tych collection under the umbrella of Concrete, Digital, Potential and features the supremely talented voices of Sandra Melody and Scribe Sayar.
