OOFT Music are Ali Herron & the Revenge. Together they run the L.E.S.S. Productions label, selecting and re-imagining songs from a plethora of forgotten greats and releasing ultra-limited CDs of the results. When heroes as diverse as Todd Terje & Prins Thomas through to Chris Duckenfield & Laurent Garnier are digging the music, you know you’re on to a good thing.
Having started life at their residency at the infamous 333 club in Shoreditch their DJ exploits have developed and grown into a formidable force with a reputation to match. Their back-to-back DJ sets are a simmering hotpot of exclusive edits, deep-as-you-like house, forgotten funk, 80s boogie and more. After many years of deck duty they can get the toes tapping and fingers snapping on the widest range of dancefloors, and have plied their trade at all of Scotland’s clubs that matter such as the Sub Club, Art Shcool & Arches in Glasgow, Aberdeen’s Snafu, the Reading Rooms in Dundee, Edinburgh’s Cabaret Voltaire & Berlin, plus countless others throughout the UK and into Europe. More recently some original material and electronic remixes have been emanating from their studios – keep your ears open for the tracks in their Myspace player as well as over on the OOFT Blog to stay up to date.. You can also catch OOFT every week on their online radio show for Glasgow’s Subcity.org, broadcast Tuesdays 4-5pm GMT.
